Locum Primary Care Nurse Practitioner needed starting as soon as credentialed near Farmington, CT

Job description

- Experience Desired: 2 years experience in Internal Medicine and or Family Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible
- CT License, DEA, ACLS, BLS
- Scope of Work Assignment: Monday - Friday 8a-5p Can be flexible with the right provider on the shift
- 169 beds (128 in operation)
- Will be flexible for the right candidate to float between the two locations as well (approximately 20min distance)
- 1:1 Dedicated Support
- No Peds Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.
- Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
- Examines patients for symptoms or physical information.
- Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patients’ condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnoses condition of patient.
- Administers or prescribes treatments.
- Determines and prescribes medication, dosage and schedule given the patient’s condition and allergies.
- Discusses any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient.
- Prescribes vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.
- Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
