LCSW DRUG & ALCOHOL COUNSELOR

This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.
Anticipated schedule: Monday – Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM with occasional Saturdays from 7:30AM to 10:30AM.
Reports to: OTP Director
Starting pay range: $34.50 to $38/hour, DOE.

Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Educate patients on all aspects of treatment, related health issues, and steps to recovery.
Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Report patient grievances.
Treatment Planning:
Develop psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans.
Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Maintain proper licensure and certifications.
Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections.
Professionalism & Teamwork:
Attend staff meetings.
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Act in the best interests of the program and company.
Participate in community relations activities.
Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Required Education and Experience:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
Experience in substance abuse field is preferred

  • This position provides counseling and support to individuals struggling with primary substance abuse disorder and dual diagnosis. The counselor will work with patients throughout their treatment journey, from intake to discharge, and will collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive recovery plan.
