Specialty: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 2 years (minimum of 6 months accepted)
Shift Details: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Work Details:
Support Staff: Mental Health aides available for each unit as needed. A pediatrician is available for patients under 18.
Patients per Day: Varies
Patient Population/Age: 18 years and older (may assist with patients of any age during beeper coverage time)
Admissions/Discharges: Approximately 3 per day
Department Description: The Center includes a unit with dedicated beds for monolingual Chinese patients from Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan who require intermediate care.
Hospital Bed Size: 262 beds

Skills Required:
Provide primary inpatient medical care to adult psychiatric inpatients (18+)
Complete necessary documentation and participate in clinical meetings
Professional work attire preferred (no white coat or scrubs required)

Board Certification: Required
License: Required
DEA: Required
CSR: Not applicable

Certifications:
BLS
Must be Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) certified
Infection control certification
Two pain management certificates (Part One and Part Two)

Credentialing Timeframe:
Duration: 45-60 days
COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required
