Internal Medicine Job Opportunity in San Mateo, CA.

Job description

Start Date: August 12, 2024 (Client open to starting earlier but must be available August-November)
Contract Length: 3 months, through mid-November. Must be available for full duration, no RTO.

Shift Details:

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 32 hours per week. Flexibility to rotate between clinics as needed within close proximity. Hours may increase to 40 as client integrates new EMR and trains permanent staff.
Work Details:

Support Staff: 1-1 MA/provider support, RNs for chronic care and triage, clerical support, mental health for warm handoffs, social work, and pharmacist.
Coverage Needed: Monday through Thursday
Patients per Day: Approximately 16 patients per day
Patient Population/Age: Adult, Geriatric (broad mix)
Department Description: Internal Medicine & Family Practice
EMR: eClinical Works (transitioning to EPIC)
Hospital Bed Size: N/A
Skills Required: Proficiency in Pap smears and Basic STD Diagnosis. Experience working with low-income populations. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Board Certification: Yes, Internal Medicine and/or Family Practice
License Required: State of CA
DEA: Yes
CSR: Yes
Certifications Required: BLS
Minimum Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency experience; candidates must have worked consistently in outpatient/primary care setting in the last 12 months. FQHC or community health experience highly preferred.
Credentialing Timeframe: 6-8 weeks
