Salary: $43.00−$48.00 / hour
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering quality dental care and patient education. This position requires adherence to compliance protocols and our organizational policies to maintain high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients with a friendly demeanor.
Conduct comprehensive medical and dental histories; communicate with outside physicians as necessary.
Perform detailed intra-oral and extra-oral examinations for all patients.
Take dental radiographs as needed.
Execute preventative measures, including prophylaxis cleaning and polishing of teeth.
Conduct root scaling and planning for patients with periodontal disease.
Provide tailored patient education regarding oral health and disease prevention.
Collaborate with dentists on patient care and make referrals to specialists when required.
Document all patient interactions accurately in the patient charts.
Set up and break down treatment rooms between patients.
Assist with lab tasks assigned by clinical management or dentists.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures.
Carry out administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and supporting emergency care needs within the dental team.
Required Competencies:
Proven compassion and interpersonal skills.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Strong physical stamina to manage patient care tasks.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree program in Dental Hygiene.
Valid Massachusetts Dental Hygienist License.
Current CPR certification.
Commitment to ongoing education and training.
Proficiency in Dentrix and any required dental center software.
Additional Information:
Compensation: Base Salary: USD $89,440 to $100,000
