Part-Time Dermatology Locum Opportunity – San Mateo, CA (Outpatient Focus)

Job description

Specialty: Dermatology
Location: San Mateo, California
Contract Length: 6 months, ongoing

Coverage & Schedule

Primary Need: Thursdays, 2–3x per month, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Consideration:

Wednesday afternoons

Monday mornings

Some Monday afternoons

Call: Some call possible

May include remote video consults a few hours per week


Practice Setting

Predominantly outpatient clinic

Occasional inpatient consults if on call

No Mohs

Mix of general medical dermatology and complex medical dermatology

Works alongside an established teledermatology platform (in-person care for cases not appropriate for photo review)


Clinical Details

Patients per Day: ~24

Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics (ages 13+)

Procedures: Biopsies required

EMR: EPIC


Support & Staffing

1 dedicated nursing support staff per provider


Requirements

MD/DO – Dermatology

Board Certified or Board Eligible accepted

Minimum 1 year of recent dermatology experience required

Experience managing pediatric dermatology (13+)

Active California license required

DEA required

Recent EPIC experience required

Must be local to the Bay Area or Northern California


Credentialing

Approximately 3 months
