Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced cardiac anesthesia provider for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is within an advanced cardiac program and requires substantial recent cardiac, thoracic, and vascular experience.

SCHEDULE

- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- 26-week assignment with flexibility
- Full-time Monday–Friday coverage
- Shift options include 9:00 AM–7:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Must be available most Fridays
- Up to one Friday off per month
- Weekend call may be available if needed
- May take either Thanksgiving week or Christmas week off, but not both
- Provider does not need to work the actual holiday
- May consider 5x12-hour shifts for 2 weeks per month

PRACTICE SETTING

- Acute care hospital
- Advanced cardiac anesthesia program
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Directed anesthesia practice
- EPIC EMR
- Cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
- LVAD experience is highly preferred

REQUIREMENTS

- Board Certification in Cardiac Anesthesia required
- Minimum 4 years of experience at a hospital with an advanced cardiac program
- Recent cardiac, thoracic, and vascular case logs required for review
- Georgia license required or willingness to obtain
- ACLS required
- BLS required
- EPIC experience required

- Providers based outside of Georgia are preferred
