Position Overview
A large, high-volume medical system in Columbia, SC is seeking full-time CRNA locums to join its anesthesia care team. This role offers flexible scheduling, excellent support staff, and a predictable workflow with no call. Providers must commit to working every week of the month — part-time availability cannot be considered.
This position includes rotation to one of the system’s ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) located in Lexington, Irmo, or Northeast Columbia. CRNAs can expect approximately one ASC assignment per week, with occasional weeks requiring two. Depending on caseload, providers may complete their full shift at the ASC or return to the main hospital if cases finish early.
Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia services across ORs and ASCs in a medical direction model
Rotate between main hospital and designated surgery centers
Maintain high-quality care across general, GYN, ortho, urology, and vascular cases
Collaborate with a large team of 70+ CRNAs and 15 anesthesiologists
Document using Epic EMR
Utilize equipment including Glidescopes, Alaris IV pumps, and Draeger anesthesia machines

No regional/block skills required
Limited pediatric exposure — locums will not cover peds cases
Schedule Options
5×8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri)
4×10-hour shifts
3×12-hour shifts
Must be available all 4 weeks per month
No weekends or call responsibilities
ASC rotation typically involves:
1 day/week, occasionally 2
Finishing the shift on-site if cases run late
Returning to the main hospital if cases finish early
Requirements
CRNA (NBCRNA)
Active South Carolina license or compact license
DEA
ACLS required (BLS/PALS preferred)
Minimum 2–3 years of experience
Must live 50+ miles away — no local candidates
Experience with Epic strongly preferred
