Shift: Daytime OR & Endoscopy, 6:45 AM–3:00 PM, with scheduled night and 24-hour call
Position Details:
Patient Population: Pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Provide daytime OR and endoscopy anesthesia coverage, with scheduled night and weekend call. Coverage includes OB, OR, and endoscopy services.
Required Procedures: OB anesthesia and endoscopy under propofol infusion; general anesthesia for surgical cases including urology, general surgery, total joints, geriatric fractures, and advanced breast cancer procedures.
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: CRNAs and nurses; dedicated CRNA support is available at all times
Days Per Month: Coverage on scheduled dates from September through December 2026
On-Call/Weekends: Scheduled night call, weekend coverage, and 24-hour call shifts
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active Arizona license or IMLC LOQ in hand
- Current OB anesthesia experience with BLS, ACLS, and DEA required
- Broad anesthesiology practice covering OR, endoscopy, and OB services
- Consistent CRNA support for the locum anesthesiologist
- High-volume surgical environment with approximately 3,000 OR and 3,000 endoscopy cases annually
