Job description

Aya Locums is seeking two Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for an ongoing inpatient locum assignment in California, starting April 1, 2026. This position offers a diverse case mix, strong anesthesia support staff, and flexibility with monthly scheduling—while requiring commitment to nights and weekend coverage.

Assignment Details

End Date: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
Patient Population: Adult + Pediatric
Trauma Level: 3
Support Staff: Full anesthesia team
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient

Schedule Requirements
Providers must commit to:
Minimum 5 shifts/month
Weekend availability
Availability last week of each month
Must be willing to work nights and weekends

Shifts:
Weekday Day: Start 7a; 8–12 hours
Weekday Eve: 3p–11p
Weekday Night: 7p–7a (2nd call 7p–11p; 1st call 11p–7a)
Weekend Day 1: 7a–7p
Weekend Day 2: 7a–7a (24-hour 2nd call)
Weekend Night: 7a–7a (24-hour; 3rd call 7a–7p; 1st call 7p–7a)
Providers will start on day shifts for several weeks before rotating into nights.
Call Type: Beeper; weekend call is remote.

Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active California License (required)
Credentialing: 90–120 days
