Description:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center setting. This role focuses on orthopedic anesthesia with heavy case exposure, including carpal tunnel procedures, total joint replacements, spine cases, and pain management.

The provider must be comfortable performing regional anesthesia blocks and working within a care team model that includes CRNAs and physician supervision. The role includes a mix of supervision and independent room coverage.

Strict eligibility requirements apply, including geographic restrictions and prior affiliation limitations. A Zoom or phone interview with Site Medical Director/Clinical Leadership is required prior to approval.

1 MD (approximately 50% supervision / 50% independent room coverage)
Located in a rapidly growing suburban community with strong access to Tampa Bay, major highways, shopping, and outdoor recreation
Not a teaching facility

Compensation:
‣ Pay Rate: $325/Hr. - Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.

Job Responsibilities:
‣ Provide full-time anesthesia coverage in an outpatient orthopedic surgery setting
‣ Perform regional anesthesia blocks
‣ Manage anesthesia care for orthopedic, spine, and pain management procedures
‣ Participate in care team model with CRNAs (supervision and independent room coverage)
‣ Deliver safe perioperative anesthesia care for elective surgical cases
‣ Maintain documentation and workflow using iPro EMR
‣ Work weekday schedule with no call and no weekend coverage
‣ Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams to ensure efficient OR flow

Qualifications:
‣ Must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible not accepted)
‣ Active Florida medical license required
‣ Minimum 2 years of experience required (no new graduates)
‣ ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
‣ Must be able to perform regional anesthesia techniques
‣ Must have clean professional file for expedited privileging consideration
‣ Fewer than 10 affiliations preferred
‣ Must not have worked for affiliated sites within past 12 months (if within 75 miles of site)
‣ Must not have worked at this facility or affiliated Envision sites within past 24 months
‣ Must not reside or have primary residence in Broward, Palm Beach, or Miami-Dade counties
‣ New Envision candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
‣ Must be available for phone/Zoom interview with Site Medical Director (contact number and best time to reach required for application)

Working Hours:
‣ Monday through Friday
‣ 6:15 AM – 3:00 PM (occasional extension up to 5:00 PM)
‣ No weekends required
‣ No call requirements
‣ Full-time coverage required

Skills:
‣ Strong proficiency in regional anesthesia blocks
‣ Expertise in orthopedic anesthesia (from minor procedures to total joints)
‣ Experience in spine and pain management cases
‣ Ability to function in a care team model (supervision + independent room coverage)
‣ Strong airway and perioperative anesthesia management skills
‣ Experience in ambulatory surgery center workflow
‣ Efficient OR throughput and time management
‣ Strong communication and collaboration with CRNAs and surgical teams
‣ Ability to work in high-volume orthopedic environments
‣ Familiarity with iPro EMR system
