Locum Anesthesiologist – Milledgeville, GA
📍 Location: Milledgeville, GA
📅 Start Date: November 28–29, 2026
⏳ Contract: 13 weeks, with potential to extend to 26 weeks
🏥 Setting: Hospital
📞 Call: Required
💻 EMR: Medaxion
Schedule & Coverage
• 7:00 AM–3:00 PM clinical shifts
• Call: 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• Physicians take surgical call every day while working
• Initial coverage begins November 28–29
• Potential for a 13- or 26-week assignment
Support & Practice
• 3 CRNAs on staff
• Daytime staffing model: 1 Anesthesiologist / 3 CRNAs
• Combination of supervision and performing own cases
• Hospital-based practice
Case Mix
Experience required with:
• Endoscopy
• OB/GYN
• Pediatrics
• Urology
• ENT
• Ophthalmology
• Orthopedics
Regional & Neuraxial Skills
Physicians must be proficient in:
• Spinals
• Epidurals
• Regional blocks
Proof of recent experience with epidurals, spinals, and blocks is required.
Requirements
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Georgia medical license required
• DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Must be comfortable with both supervision and independent cases
Credentialing
• Estimated timeframe: 45–60 days
• Temporary privileges may be available for providers with:
o Clear background
o Acceptable malpractice history
o Active, unrestricted license
