Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a locums opportunity in the Rock Island and Moline, Illinois area! This position offers flexible coverage dates, a diverse case mix, and a combination of personally performed anesthesia and CRNA supervision.

Opportunity Highlights:

PRN coverage dates available throughout the first half of the year

Typical weekday shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, depending on case completion

Limited OR call with occasional backup call required

Approximately 20-minute call response time

Coverage across two nearby hospital locations

Combination of personally performed cases and CRNA supervision

Daytime staffing includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 10 CRNAs

Epic EMR

Local candidates preferred

Approximately 90–120 day credentialing timeframe

Case Mix:

General surgery

Orthopedics

Urology

Ophthalmology

ENT

Plastic surgery

Podiatry

Pediatric cases

Endoscopy and vascular surgery

Gynecology and pain management

Cardiac cases at one location

Epidurals, spinals, and regional blocks

Requirements:

Board Certified in Anesthesiology

Active Illinois medical license required

AHA ACLS certification required

Epic experience required

Case logs demonstrating epidurals, spinals, and regional blocks

Comfortable supervising CRNAs and independently providing anesthesia

Cardiac and TEE experience beneficial but not required

Willingness to cover both hospital locations

Available for occasional backup call
