About the clinician's workday

The position involves working 5x10-hour shifts with overtime after 50 hours and no on-call requirements. The case load includes orthopedics, general surgery, urology, neurosurgery, vascular, gynecology, ENT, renal transplants, thoracic, plastics, ophthalmology, and a variety of NORA procedures. This is a Level 1 trauma facility and a tertiary referral center, with 35 operating rooms in the main hospital, along with a 5-room endoscopy suite, cath lab, EP, and IR suites. The team consists of approximately 50 MDs, 70 CRNAs, and 25 residents. The role involves a mix of hands-on work and supervision, primarily supervising CRNAs at a 1:3 ratio. Flexibility is required, as there may be occasions when you need to run a room if someone calls out.
