PT Locums Anesthesiologist Needed in New York

Job Opportunity: Locum Anesthesiologist (Plattsburgh, NY)
Location: Plattsburgh, NY

Position Highlights:

Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing with temporary privileges available for clean files).

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with required on-call shifts.
On-call requirement includes OB; must be within 15 minutes of the facility.
Weekend call specifics: Alternating first and second call, averaging 4-6 hours of work on Saturday and 3-4 hours overnight. Occasional extended call hours (up to 18 hours) with next day off.

Commitment: Cover two consecutive weeks per month, with flexibility to work when the other locum is unavailable.

Pay Rate: $400/hour + Travel & Lodging. Weekend call: $2,000/day.

Job Duties:
Provide anesthesia services for general surgical cases.
Bread-and-butter procedures with a focus on:
Orthopedics
General Surgery
OB/GYN (700-800 deliveries/year)
ENT, Urology, Plastics, Vascular, and GI
Perform regional blocks for OR cases (no outpatient pain management).
Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary OR team.

Facility Details:
9 modern operating rooms.
Level III Trauma Center with EPIC EMR system.
Support staff includes CRNAs, anesthesia techs, nurses, and OR techs.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with healthy pediatric cases (not required).
Collegial team player who can manage 4-5 cases/day efficiently.

Requirements:
Board-certified anesthesiologist with clean file (no malpractice or work gaps).
Ability to take call as assigned, including weekends.
