Locum Anesthesiologist – Auburn, NY

🗓️ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Schedule & Coverage
• Full-time coverage
• 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekday night call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Minimum of 2 call shifts per week required
• Additional call coverage available as needed
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
• Providers must check in and out with the Unit Coordinator whenever entering or leaving the facility
Call & Guarantee Details
• Weekend call includes a 2-hour minimum guarantee
• The 2-hour minimum applies when the provider is called in and:
o Works less than 2 hours, or
o Is called in and immediately sent home because the case is cancelled
• If not called in, the provider receives the applicable flat call rate
• Providers must clock actual hours worked
• Call-back hours are paid at the overtime/call-back rate and count toward the weekly guarantee
• If OR volume decreases after a provider has worked call the previous day, the provider may be released early but will still receive the 10-hour shift guarantee for that day
Clinical Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Anesthesiology experience
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Proficient in regional anesthesia
• Must be able to independently perform blocks
• Comfortable supervising up to 4:1
• OB experience required
• Must be comfortable working without Residents or Fellows
• NY medical license required
