Anesthesiology Locum Tenens Opportunity – Asheville, North Carolina

Start Date: 2/16/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7a–3p (No Call)
A large acute care hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an Anesthesiologist for ongoing weekday coverage. This is a high-volume environment with excellent CRNA support and a mix of general anesthesia cases.

Assignment Details
• Coverage: Scheduled, no call
• Shift Times: 7a–3p, Monday–Friday
• Case Mix: Busy OR—trauma, vascular, neuro, urology, ortho
• Support Model: Supervision of CRNAs (1:3 or 1:4), option to perform own cases
• Procedures: General, Ortho, Endo, Urology, GYN, Robotics, Neuro/Spine
• Peds: Very minimal
• No hearts, no craniotomies, no transplants
• EMR: Cerner

Volume Expectations
• CV cases/day: 10–15
• General anesthesia cases per month: ~3,500–4,000

Requirements
• Board Eligible/Board Certified
• Active NC license required
• Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks
Travel & Logistics
• Travel + lodging paid
• Reimbursement-only model; no stipends
