Job Title: Anesthesiologist (Locum Tenens)

Duration: 6 Months with potential extension
Position Overview

A busy regional medical center in Asheville, NC is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to provide coverage while permanent physicians are recruited. This is a care team model environment with a primarily supervisory role, though physicians may run their own cases if preferred. No call is required.

Work Environment & Schedule
• No call required
• Shift options: 8s, 10s, or 12s
• Care Team Model: 1 MD : 3–4 CRNAs
• Anesthesia tech support
• EMR: Cerner & AIMS
Case Mix Includes:
• Busy OB service
• Trauma (designated stroke center)
• Vascular
• Neuro/Spine
• Orthopedics
• Urology
• GYN
• Endoscopy
• Robotics
• Very limited pediatrics
• No craniotomies or transplants
• Dedicated trauma and cardiac teams
Volume:
• 10–15 CV cases per day
• 3,500–4,000 general cases per month
Requirements
• Active North Carolina medical license (required at submission)
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Proficiency in peripheral nerve blocks
• Ability to work in a high-volume care team setting
