Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locums opportunity in Burlington, North Carolina! This position offers multiple shift options, a diverse case mix, and a CRNA supervision model with no cardiac cases required.

Opportunity Highlights:

8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Call approximately 1–2 times per week

Occasional 24-hour weekend call

30-minute call response time

Approximately 6-month assignment

CRNA supervision model with a 1:4 physician-to-CRNA ratio

Coverage across two hospital locations

Adult and healthy pediatric patients

No cardiac or complex pediatric cases

Approximately 60–90 day credentialing timeframe

Temporary privileges may be available for qualified candidates

Case Mix:

General surgery

Vascular surgery

Neurosurgery

OB/GYN, including obstetric anesthesia

Urology

Orthopedics

ENT

Healthy pediatric dental and ENT cases

Ophthalmology and cataracts

Endoscopy

Regional anesthesia, epidurals, and spinals

Requirements:

Active North Carolina medical license required

North Carolina DEA registration required

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

Epic experience required

Comfortable medically directing CRNAs

Proficiency in epidurals, spinal anesthesia, and regional blocks

Experience with interscalene, adductor canal, popliteal, and other peripheral nerve blocks

Case logs demonstrating epidurals, spinals, and regional anesthesia required

Comfortable with OB and healthy pediatric anesthesia
