An inpatient hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a diverse case mix, CRNA supervision during daytime hours, and hands-on clinical work during nights and weekends.

Assignment Details
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Assignment Length: Through March 31, 2027
Coverage Needed: 1 Anesthesiologist (multiple providers may be considered)
Setting: Inpatient hospital
ORs: 5

Admissions: Required
Schedule & Call
Base Schedule: 40 hours/week

Shift Structure:
5 x 8-hour shifts or Combination of 2 x 8-hour shifts + 1 x 24-hour shift
Call: In-house call required
Response Time: 30 minutes
Post-Call Day: Yes

Coverage Model:
Daytime: Supervision of CRNAs
Evenings/Overnights: Anesthesiologist performs own cases
Clinical Scope

Case Types Include:
Cardiac
Complete orthopedics
Complex vascular
Obstetrics
Regional anesthesia

Skills & Experience:
General anesthesia (adult, pediatric, neonatal)
Trauma experience
Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
OB and neurosurgical cases
Open heart anesthesia
Thoracic anesthesia (non–open heart)
Central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters
CRNA supervision

Requirements
MD/DO – Anesthesiology
Board Certified (required)
Fellowship training preferred
Active Pennsylvania license required

Credentialing
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
