Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locums opportunity in Burlington, Vermont! This position offers a 4-day workweek, no required call, and a diverse mix of adult and pediatric anesthesia cases at a Level I Trauma Center.

Opportunity Highlights:

Four 10-hour shifts per week

Typical hours: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Monday–Friday availability required, with four days scheduled weekly

No call required

Approximately 6-month assignment

Level I Trauma Center

Approximately 4–8 patients per day

Mix of personally performed anesthesia and supervision of residents, CRNAs, and CAAs

Adult and pediatric anesthesia cases

Academic medical center setting

Case Mix:

Adult anesthesia

Adolescent and pediatric anesthesia

Neonatal anesthesia

Variety of surgical and procedural cases

Solo anesthesia and medically supervised cases

Requirements:

MD or DO specializing in Anesthesiology

Active Vermont medical license required

ACLS and PALS certifications required

BLS certification required

Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology preferred

Comfortable providing anesthesia across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations

Ability to transition between pediatric and adult cases throughout the day

Comfortable working independently and supervising anesthesia care teams
