Cardiac Anesthesiologist – Richmond, VA

Location: Richmond, VA
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens – Ongoing
Start Date: As early as 12/1/2025
Length of Assignment: Ongoing
Pay Rate: $430/hour

Schedule:
Ideally 7 days on / 7 days off
Shifts: 10, 12, or 24 hours
Call: Yes – In-house Call 6 PM – 7 AM
Weekdays: 7 AM – 3 PM in-house, 3 PM – 7 AM home call
Weekends: 24-hour home call

Requirements:
Board Eligible / Board Certified – Cardiac Anesthesiology
TEE Certification required
Must be experienced – able to work solo or supervise CRNAs on cardiac cases
EMR experience (Expanse, Meditech, Medaxion, Qgenda, Patient Keeper)

Hospital Information:
~466 beds
Level 1 Trauma Center (Cardiac, Burn, Pediatric)
Collaborative care team with CRNAs

Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia for all cardiac cases
Supervise CRNAs as needed
Participate in call coverage
Credentialing / Orientation:
Credentialing/privileging timeframe: 60-90 days
Orientation required prior to first day (cannot be done remotely)
Emergency privileges may be requested depending on timing
