Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a locums opportunity in Newport News, Virginia! This position offers a 12-week assignment, a diverse case mix, and a combination of personally performed anesthesia and CRNA supervision.

Opportunity Highlights:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM day shifts

Approximately 50 hours per week

Required in-house night float coverage: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Additional call opportunities

Overtime may be expected

Approximately 12-week assignment

Combination of personally performed cases and CRNA supervision

Medical direction model with a 1:4 physician-to-CRNA ratio

20 anesthesia rooms

Epic EMR

Approximately 90-day standard credentialing timeframe

Temporary privileges may be available in 30–60 days

Lodging and transportation assistance available

Case Mix:

General anesthesia

Obstetric anesthesia

Neurosurgery

Orthopedics

Requirements:

Board Certified Anesthesiologist

Active Virginia medical license required

Comfortable performing cases independently and medically directing CRNAs

Experience with general, OB, neuro, and orthopedic anesthesia

Availability for required in-house night float coverage

Ability to commit to the requested schedule
