Job description

A long-term General Cardiology locums opportunity is available in Illinois, offering a consistent block schedule and a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and light phone call coverage.

Assignment Details
Location: Centralia, IL
Start Date: November, 2026
Duration: Ongoing until permanent hire – anticipated around 1 year
Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Monday–Friday preferred
Monday–Thursday may be considered

Practice Setting:
General Cardiology
Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consults
Adult patient population
Solo physician coverage
EMR: Epic
Clinical Scope
General Cardiology – CAD, hypertension, heart failure, etc.
Inpatient cardiology consults
EKG interpretation
Echocardiogram interpretation
Stress test supervision

Support: 1 APP available 2 days per week, Medical Assistant

Requirements:
Board Certification required
BLS required
Comfortable independently managing General Cardiology clinic and inpatient consults
