A hospital in Joplin, Missouri is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment beginning in December. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon seeking a high-acuity inpatient practice with a diverse mix of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases.

Opportunity Highlights:
Location: Joplin, Missouri
Start Date: December, ongoing
Schedule: 24-Hour Call Coverage
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 Days
EMR: Meditech (transitioning to Epic)

Scope of Practice:
The physician will provide coverage for a broad spectrum of:
Adult cardiac surgery procedures
Vascular surgery cases
General thoracic surgery
Inpatient consultations and surgical management
Emergent and scheduled cardiovascular surgical care

Requirements:
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active Missouri Medical License or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Experience performing adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
Strong inpatient and call coverage experience preferred
