12 hour shifts starting at 7a and 7p
Day and night shifts available

Will accept FM trained MDs with ER experience
Must be board certified ER or FM
EMR is Epic
Multiple candidates will be considered
38 patients per 24 hours
Must have ACLS, ATLS and PALS
60-90 day credentialing
No surgery, usual ED procedures, intubation, chest tube, conscious sedation, laceration
This is a Critical Access Rural Hospital and will see many of the same things as larger hospitals except less volumes
Central line placement, suturing, I&D, dental blocks, foreign body removal, reductions, cardio conversation, codes, Stroke and STEMI, pediatrics and adults.
We do not have any call for our ED physicians. They do not round anywhere other than on their ED patients in the ED department. They will admit to hospital but via our Hospitalist. They do not write the admission orders, but they do call the Hospitalist and the Hospitalist makes the decision whether to admit.
Also, the ED physician is the only physician in the hospital often and always at night. We will begin having medical residents here starting July 2024 and they will rotate through the ED. The ED physician responds to a code on med surg if one is called, which is not often.
Our current open shifts vary, both days and nights and several dates every month starting in May.
