• BC MD in Emergency Medicine Preferred
• IM and FM will also be considered, MA License a must
• Starting March through June, Ongoing assignment
• Nights only - Schedule - 1a-7a
• Full Support Staff
• Typical EM procedures, central line insertion, intubation, laceration repair
• Additional info: The volume overnight is very dependent on the number of patients that are backed up from the day. If the ED is caught up - which is not usual at all - then the number of patients coming in over night is about 10-16. However, if there is back up from the day, those patients need to be seen also. So yes, the average per night is about the same as the day. Around 1.8. We are single staffed at night from 1am-7am. There is an APP until 3am. Hospitalists manage admissions and cover the hospital. We do not respond to hospital codes.
