Rural Pennsylvania needs Emergency Medicine Physicians

Job description

• Shift schedule: 12 days per month: 10-12 hour days.
• Assignment Length: 6 months to a year.
• Skill Needed: Back-up airway responsibilities in situations where anesthesiology is unable to assist with an intubation (incredibly rare). Will have 24/7 OB-GYN & Anesthesiology coverage.
• 20% of patients are younger than 18 yrs old. Must be skilled with caring for pediatric patients.
• Level 4 Trauma.
• Procedures: Standard emergency medicine, intubation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion and FAST examination.
• Support Staff: 36 hours of APC coverage
• Volume: 35k visits with 13.26% admissions and 4% transfer rate.
