Longview (TX) Metro Area Emergency Medicine Need

Job description

• 13,000 annual visits
• 24 hours of physician coverage
• 12 or 24 hour shifts
• Level IV trauma center
• LV 3 certified stroke center
• Must have TX license
• BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM), will also accept Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with ED experience, must also be BC.
• Must have NIHSS
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS required if not Board Certified
• Documentation of previous ATLS certification must be provided for EM Board Certified applicants; current certification is not required.
• Procedure logs for the last 24 months
• Site is using a pre-app now, chief of staff will review and approve before full app is released.
• Please make sure physicians TSCA is updated
• Temps are available on request, and there is also an expedited approval process through a sub-committee of the Board that meets the day after MEC (dependent on Board member availability). File must be complete and just waiting on full committee/Board approval.
