Shift Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 shifts acceptable (if local)
For travel reimbursement (flight), a minimum of 3 (24-hour) shifts is required
Certification Requirements:
Acceptable Certifications: ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS, or other BCs
For Nurse Practitioners: FNP with ANCC, AANP, or other BCs
Must be boarded in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Emergency Medicine preferred). If FM or IM, must have experience in Emergency Medicine.
Alternative boards (ABPS) not accepted
Residency Training Requirements:
EM, FM, or IM trained
Advanced Life Support Certifications:
EM Eligible: Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required
EM Boarded: ACLS and PALS required (ATLS can be expired but must provide a copy of the card)
Other Boards (IM/FM): Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required

Patients per Day: 22 (average)
EMS Transfer Rate: 11.06%
Admitted Patients: 2.09%
Trauma Level: IV
Run Codes: Yes

Backup Specialties: Most services transferred out to main facility

Licensing Requirements:
Active TX or Compact License required
Privileging and Onboarding:
Privileging Timeframe: 90+ days from receipt of CVO Welcome email
Expedited Locum Privileges: No
Onboarding Requirements: EMR training provided by Medical Director, 1-2 hours of orientation before the first shift
