Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Elkins, WV

Start Date: August 19th
Contract Length: ongoing – they are perm recruiting and will look at straight perm candidates as well.
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, hours vary

8/1 - 8/2 - 7p-7a
8/4 - 8/7 - 7a - 7p
8/8 - 8/9 - 11a - 11p
8/10 & 8/11 - 7a - 7p
8/12 - 7a - 7p
8/13 - 8/14 - 11a - 11p
9/13 - 917 - 7a - 7p
9/24 - 10/4 - 7a - 7p

Work Details:
• Support staff: 4 RN’s 7a-7p, 3 RN’s 11a-11p, FT RN/ LPN 9a-9p, 4 PRN’s 7p-7a with optional 7p-3a 5th RN, 2 Techs 7a-7p and 7p7a. 1 secretary both shifts.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: varies - 10-15 per month
• Patients per day: 60-80
• Patient population/age: all ages
• Department description: 21 bed ED. 17 beds with a 4 bed Fast Track that has a PA currently 9am-9pm. 2 Trauma rooms. 1 Psych room, but another we can easily convert.
• EMR: Paragon
• Hospital bed size: 80
• Special procedures: reductions, central lines, suturing, intubations, LP’s
• Skills required: Current Policy ABEM or AOBEM certified with current BLS - or Family or Internal Med Board Certified/Eligible with certification in BLS, ATLS, ACLS & PALS.

• 12 hour shifts
• Mix of Days and Nights
• Ongoing contract length
