Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Location: New Windsor, NY 12553
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation:
$140,000–$180,000 annually, depending on years of GI experience and credentials.
The position also offers performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Job Responsibilities
‣ Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.
‣ Develop individualized treatment plans.
‣ Provide preventive screening consultations and follow-up care.
‣ Perform patient consultations in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
‣ Coordinate pre-procedure and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures.
‣ Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
‣ Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies.
‣ Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical needs and applicable regulations.
‣ Provide comprehensive patient education.
‣ Maintain accurate, detailed electronic medical records.
‣ Ensure high-quality clinical documentation.
‣ Participate in a collaborative care model focused on compassionate, patient-centered treatment.
‣ Support the evaluation and management of diverse GI conditions and cases.
‣ Work collaboratively with experienced gastroenterologists who value teamwork, mentorship, and professional development.
Qualifications
Required
‣ Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in New York State
‣ Current DEA certification
‣ Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience
‣ Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
‣ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
‣ Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Preferred
‣ Experience with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
‣ Experience with liver disease
‣ Experience with GI motility disorders
‣ Existing hospital privileges or willingness to obtain hospital privileges
‣ Bilingual capabilities, with Spanish a plus
