Overview:
Gastroenterology APP coverage in Potsdam, NY, full-time Mon–Fri, in a Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice setting.

Schedule & Coverage:
Full Time — Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Shift Times: 8 AM–4 PM, Mon–Fri. Title: NP. On Call: Yes.

Work Details:
Position Description: Evaluate medical problems of patients in the assigned Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice setting and request consultation of other specialties when indicated. Provide education to patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed treatments/medications. Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with NCQA, The Joint Commission, state regulatory standards, and evidence-based standards of care. Maintain documentation compliance for coding and billing. Facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and quality standards and implement constructive directives. Referral of complex/high-priority cases to collaborating physicians. Provide medical and emergency interventions appropriate to the client's needs; prescribe and monitor medications; order and monitor appropriateness of emergency interventions. Float: n/a.
