The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for an adult patient population, with 1 GI physician locums available to support clinical operations. Locum tenens gastroenterology nurse practitioner coverage is sought beginning November 23 on an ongoing basis for approximately 6 weeks.

Historical and cultural destinations include the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, and Civil War sites, as well as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and various living history sites. Outdoor recreation opportunities such as kayaking, river rafting, water sports, ballooning, and horseback riding are available across the state, complemented by state parks, gardens, wineries, and craft breweries.
About the clinician's workday
The gastroenterology nurse practitioner will provide clinic-based GI coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at this on-site facility. Clinical responsibilities include managing adult patients with conditions such as IBD, liver disease, GERD, fatty liver, anemia, dysphagia, and providing PEG tube management in accordance with established facility protocols. No call coverage and no rounding are required for this locum tenens assignment. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for consideration.
