Gastroenterology Physician needed in Seneca, SC

Job description

Contract Length: 6 months

Schedule Details:

Hours: 5x9-Hour shifts, Monday to Friday (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM)
Coverage Needed: Full-time
Patients per Day: 14
Patient Population: Adult
Department Description:

Combination of hospital rounding, clinic, and consults
7 exam rooms
No admissions
EMR: EPIC
Technology: Pill Camera (No lab or X-ray on-site)
Hospital Bed Size: 169
Special Procedures:

PEG (preferred)
GI Endoscopy (upper and lower) with biopsy
Foreign body removal
Fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs laser)
Banding of varices
Esophageal dilation/manometry
Small bowel biopsy
Sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
Skills Not Required:

Internal Medicine
ERCP
EUS
Liver biopsy
Esophageal manometry interpretation
Insertion/management of Sengstaken or Blakemore tube
Practice Setting: Hospital – Acute Care

Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be BC in Gastroenterology
State License: SC (willing to license)
DEA: Required
CSR: Not required
Certifications: BLS
Experience: Must be out of training and have been practicing medicine for at least 2 years
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days with a license; 120 days without
Team Structure:

1 Physician in practice
2 Mid-level providers
Office staff: 2 CMAs, 2 RNs, 2 Registration Staff, 1 Office Supervisor
Experience Required:

Outpatient and Inpatient experience
Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, banding of varices, PEG)
Esophageal dilation/manometry
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy (sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp).
