- A hospital is seeking a General Gastroenterologist for a 6-month locum tenens assignment beginning January 2027.
This opportunity is ideal for a Gastroenterologist interested in a combination of daytime clinical coverage and overnight call in a supportive hospital-based environment. The schedule is flexible, with 7-on/7-off coverage available and the potential for providers to work consecutive two-week blocks.
Schedule & Call
- Start date: January 4, 2027
- 6-month assignment
- Primarily daytime coverage with overnight call
- Typical shifts are approximately 8 hours
- Call-back coverage included
- 7 days on / 7 days off is an option
- Providers may also elect to work two consecutive weeks
- Adult patients, generally 18+
- Average patient age is approximately 58
- General Gastroenterology patient population
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
- Minimum experience: Open
- Active West Virginia medical license required
- IMLC candidates will be considered
- Candidates who qualify for a West Virginia temporary license will also be considered
- DEA required
- BLS and ACLS required
Credentialing & Licensing
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60+ days
- Willing to assist with licensing
- IMLC candidates and providers eligible for a West Virginia temporary license may be considered
