Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency
Job Details:
- Full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role within Urgent Care settings across Western Connecticut
- 38-hour work week with rotating schedule during clinic hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 8:00PM; Saturday - Sunday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
- Practice locations include Norwalk, Fairfield, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull, Westport, Stamford, and Wilton, CT
- Provide acute care illness and injury management services
- Perform and interpret EKGs
- Perform venipuncture and peripheral line placement
- Administer IM and IV medications
- Manage dressing changes and wound care
- Perform incision and drainage of simple abscesses
- Suturing and stapling of simple wounds or lacerations and removal of sutures
- Apply splints and casts
- Perform gynecological and pelvic exams
- Interpret preliminary X-ray findings
- Conduct DOT exams, contact physicals, and school and sports exams for pediatric patients
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program
- Must hold active Connecticut licensure as a PA or APRN/NP
- National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or PA certification required
- Minimum of one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar setting required
- Urgent care or occupational health experience highly preferred
- Training and experience treating patients of all ages, from birth through geriatrics, required
- No call required
