Hospitalist
Job ID: OPE-49290
Inpatient Medical Documentation Specialist, Part-Time AI Review - Remote (United States)
Job description
• $80–$115 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of medical AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the clinical judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real medical professionals. The teams building them need internal medicine physicians who can work through difficult inpatient cases, judge whether an AI's clinical claims match the medical record, write the answer a physician would give, and explain exactly where the AI's reasoning falls short. Your clinical judgment becomes part of how the next generation of medical AI models works. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you'll do
• Review adult inpatient records, clinical notes and structured medical-record data for documentation quality
• Check clinical claims against the underlying record, including the history, assessment and care plan
• Evaluate medication reconciliation and kidney- and liver-adjusted dosing
• Identify missing or inconsistent details and provide structured feedback on where the model's reasoning departs from the record
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $80–$115 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work on AI systems that read inpatient charts, judging whether their clinical claims hold up against the documentation
• Build practical experience applying hospitalist judgment to AI clinical record review and clear model feedback
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine (a Hospital Medicine focused practice designation may qualify)
• Has worked as a hospitalist for at least five years, with inpatient hospitalist work that is current or recent and falls in the past two years
• Professional fluency in English and a strong grasp of adult inpatient care and clinical documentation, including daily progress notes, admissions, discharge workflows and transitions of care
• Comfortable reading clinical notes and raw medical-record data, with close attention to detail and steady use of defined review standards
• No AI experience needed. You bring the hospitalist expertise; the work provides written review guidelines and structured chart-review tasks.
Pay and details
• $80–$115 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
• Minimum weekly submission requirements apply.
