Job description

Position: Permanent Nocturnist (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)
Location: Roanoke Rapids, NC
Start: Flexible
Schedule: Nights, such as 7p-7a shifts with blocks of days on and off
Coverage: Primarily inpatient, with shared call
Practice Setting: 100-bed community hospital within a regional health system

Responsibilities:
- Admit patients and manage acute medical conditions overnight
- Round and coordinate care with specialists
- Discharge planning
- Support from multiple specialties (cardiology, surgery, pulmonology) and telemedicine consults

Requirements:
- BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Prior experience required; no new graduates
- Active North Carolina license, or ability to obtain
