LOCUM PHYSICIAN – HOSPITALIST

Location: Williston, North Dakota

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a qualified Locum Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient coverage in Williston, North Dakota. This opportunity involves managing hospital admissions, conducting rounds, and providing ongoing care for hospitalized patients.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Start Date: December 24, 2026

Initial Coverage: December 24, 2026, at 7:00 AM through January 6, 2027, at 7:00 AM

Duration: Ongoing coverage available

Setting: Inpatient hospitalist service

EMR: Meditech

SCHEDULE

Day Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Night Call: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Coverage: 24-hour hospitalist coverage

Ongoing availability is needed following the initial coverage period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage for admitted patients.

Manage admissions from the Emergency Department.

Conduct patient rounds and oversee ongoing treatment and care.

Provide coverage across medical/surgical and ICU services.

Provide OB consultations as needed.

Coordinate patient care with the hospital team.

SUPPORT STAFF

An FNP is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

REQUIREMENTS

Board eligibility required; board certification highly preferred.

Active North Dakota medical license required.

ACLS certification required.

BLS certification required.

DEA registration required.

Clean malpractice history required.

Must be available at the time of name clearance.

CREDENTIALING

Expedited credentialing may be possible when all required documents are submitted promptly.

Emergency and temporary privileges are not available.
