Medical Oncologist – New Ulm, MN

Quick Start: MN License or IMLC Required
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Contract: 6 months with option to extend
Setting: Outpatient Infusion & Oncology Clinic
Patient Volume: 13–20 patients/day
EMR: 24-hour chart completion expected

REQUIREMENTS & COVERAGE

✓ MN Medical License or IMLC required for quick start
✓ Credentialing: approximately **90–120 days**
✓ Emergency privileges may be available for an earlier start
✓ December availability highly preferred — please include any December availability with submission
✓ Prefer **onsite coverage** with one provider for the full assignment
✓ Open to some telehealth coverage
✓ Full-time provider strongly preferred; may consider splitting coverage between two providers
✓ Support includes RNs, LPNs, and APP support being added

CLINICAL SCOPE

✓ Full-spectrum outpatient **Medical Oncology & Hematology**
✓ New patient consultations and diagnoses
✓ Treatment planning and chemotherapy oversight
✓ Ongoing disease management and follow-up
✓ Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive oncology therapies
✓ **No radiation oncology**
✓ Solid tumor and hematologic conditions
✓ Collaborate with surgery, radiology, pathology, primary care, and specialty providers

FACILITY & SUPPORT

✓ Infusion center with **9 chairs and 2 private treatment rooms**
✓ Onsite CT, MRI, PET/PSMA PET, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and laboratory
✓ Oncology Nurse Navigator
✓ RNs, LPNs/CMAs, infusion nursing team
✓ Oncology research nurse
✓ Social work, dietitian, behavioral health, financial navigation
✓ Palliative care and genetic counseling support
✓ Centralized prior authorization support
✓ Access to clinical trials and advanced cancer therapies

TRAVEL

✓ Economy airfare reimbursed; up to 2 round-trip flights/month
✓ Hotel up to $200/night or lodging up to $4,500/month
✓ Economy rental car up to $100/day
✓ Reasonable work/airport mileage and gas reimbursed
✓ Economy airport/hotel parking and standard baggage fees reimbursed

**Ideal candidate:** Board-certified/eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist with outpatient oncology experience who can provide onsite continuity of care in a community-based practice.
