LOCUM NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT – NEUROSURGERY

Location: Richmond, VA
Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
Start Date: Mid-December 2026
Assignment Length: Through at least April 2027

SCHEDULE

✓ Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
✓ 40 hours per week
✓ No call
✓ No teaching or leadership responsibilities

POSITION DETAILS

✓ 100% inpatient
✓ Adult and geriatric patient population
✓ Post-procedural daily care
✓ Patient/family communication and education
✓ Collaborate with an employed Neurosurgery NP
✓ Patient volume varies
✓ EMR: EPIC

REQUIREMENTS

✓ Board Certified — Required
✓ Active Virginia license — Required; candidates needing to obtain a VA license will not be considered
✓ Active ACLS and BLS — Required
✓ Active DEA — Required
✓ Clean background with no malpractice or license issues — Required
✓ NP or PA with Neurosurgery experience preferred

CREDENTIALING

✓ Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days
✓ Temporary privileges may be available
