(RN) – Med/Surg Float Pool

Position Overview

Seeking a flexible, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary float pool assignment in Coos Bay, OR. The Float RN will provide high-quality care across acute care units, including Medical Care, Post-Surgical, and Intermediate Care (PCU).

Key Responsibilities

Float seamlessly between the Medical Care Unit, Post-Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit (PCU).

Conduct patient assessments, deliver individualized clinical care, and document accurately in the EMR.

Rapidly respond to patient emergencies and changes in clinical status.

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge requirements.

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary hospital care teams.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience in an acute care hospital setting (within the last 5 years) [Required]

Licensure: Active Oregon RN License OR willingness to obtain [Required]

Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS certifications (must be obtained prior to start) [Required]

Flexibility: Willingness to float across Med-Surg, Post-Surgical, and PCU units [Required]

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts
