Neuromuscular Neurologist / Clinical Neurophysiology Locums
Job description
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Neuromuscular Neurology or Clinical Neurophysiology with an EMG/neuromuscular emphasis.
This opportunity focuses primarily on neuromuscular disorders and subspecialty neurology, including neuropathy and ALS, with a small component of general neurology. The physician will also have a leadership role overseeing the Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab.
Position Details:
2–3 consecutive days per week for approximately 1 week per month, with occasional additional coverage
Potential flexibility with scheduling
Up to 4 night call shifts per month
Approximately 13 EMGs per day
EPIC EMR
Collaborative team with other neurologists, APPs, and neurodiagnostic technicians
Dedicated Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab
BLS required
DEA required
Active state license required
Fellowship in Neuromuscular Neurology or Clinical Neurophysiology with EMG/neuromuscular emphasis
Completion of Neurology or PM&R residency
Formal EDX training through residency and/or fellowship
Demonstrated competency in needle EMG and nerve conduction studies
Ongoing CME in electrodiagnostic medicine
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

- Specialty-Focused Practice: Neuromuscular disorders, neuropathy, ALS, and other subspecialty care
- EMG/EDX Expertise: Perform and interpret EMGs and nerve conduction studies in a dedicated Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab
- Leadership Opportunity: Leadership role overseeing the Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab with a collaborative neurology team
