Neuromuscular Neurologist – Kalamazoo, MI

Assignment Details

* Location: Kalamazoo, MI
* Start Date: December 7, 2026 or as soon as credentialed
* Length: 3 months, ongoing
* Practice Setting: Hospital
* Hospital Size: 218 beds
* EMR: Epic
* Credentialing: Approximately 90 days

Schedule

* 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
* 2–3 consecutive days per week
* 1 week per month, with the possibility of 2 weeks/month
* Some scheduling flexibility may be available
* Up to 4 night call shifts per month

Clinical Details

* Approximately 13 EMGs per day
* Focus on neuromuscular disorders and subspecialty care, including:

* Neuropathy
* Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
* Other neuromuscular conditions
* Small component of general neurology
* Special procedures: EMGs
* Leadership responsibility over the Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab

Required Experience & Skills

* Formal training in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EDX) through residency and/or fellowship
* Fellowship in Neuromuscular or Clinical Neurophysiology with an EMG/neuromuscular emphasis
* Completion of Neurology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency
* Demonstrated competency in:

* Needle electromyography (EMG)
* Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
* Ongoing CME in electrodiagnostic medicine
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for neurology and willingness to learn
* Leadership experience preferred for oversight of the Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab

Support Staff

* Neurodiagnostic technicians
* APPs
* 7 other neurologists

Requirements

* Board Certified or Board Eligible
* Active Michigan license required; open to candidates needing licensure
* DEA required
* BLS required

Travel

* Local candidates highly preferred
* Full travel reimbursement available for non-local providers
