Locum-to-Perm Physician – General Neurology

Position Overview

Seeking a **General Neurologist** for consistent weekday outpatient coverage across three neurology practice locations in the Atlantic City area: **Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township, and Hammonton, New Jersey**.

This is an outpatient-only opportunity with no inpatient coverage, night call, weekend call, or holiday coverage anticipated. Full-time availability is preferred, but providers must be able to commit to a consistent minimum of **3 days per week**.

The provider will rotate among the three locations, with one location assigned per day. The specific schedule and site rotation will be coordinated in advance based on patient access needs and provider availability.

Schedule

* **Monday–Friday**
* Approximately **8:00 AM–5:00 PM**
* Minimum commitment: **3 days per week**
* Full-time availability preferred
* One practice location per day
* Schedule and site rotation coordinated in advance
* **No call**
* **No weekends**
* **No holidays**
* **No inpatient coverage**

Patient Population
* **60% Adult**
* **40% Geriatric**
* **100% Outpatient**

Patient Volume

Approximately **14–18 patients per day**, depending on the mix of new and established patients.

Typical daily volume:

* **3–5 new patients**
* **10–13 follow-up patients**
* Additional time may be needed for complex new-patient evaluations.

Clinical Responsibilities

* Evaluate and manage new and established adult and geriatric general-neurology patients.
* Diagnose and manage common neurological conditions, including:

* Headaches and migraines
* Seizure disorders
* Neuropathy
* Movement disorders
* Multiple sclerosis
* Cognitive disorders
* Post-stroke follow-up
* Review diagnostic imaging, laboratory results, and outside medical records.
* Order appropriate diagnostic testing.
* Manage and adjust medications as clinically appropriate.
* Coordinate care with primary care providers, APPs, specialists, and other members of the neuroscience team.
* Complete clinical documentation, patient messages, test-result reviews, and follow-up responsibilities promptly.
* Provide independent outpatient coverage across multiple practice locations.

Required Qualifications

* **Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neurology – Required**
* **ABPN or AOBNP certification/eligibility – Required**
* Active, unrestricted **New Jersey medical license** or willingness to obtain one.
* Active **DEA registration**.
* Active **New Jersey CDS registration**.
* **BLS certification – Required**
* Ability to provide consistent adult outpatient general-neurology coverage.
* Willingness to rotate among the three outpatient locations.
* Ability to commit to at least **3 days per week**.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with **Cerner or a comparable EMR**.
* Experience interpreting EEGs, performing EMG, or administering Botox.
* Previous outpatient general neurology experience.
