Behavioral Health Clinician (School-Based Initiatives)

Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Direct Clinical Services, the Behavioral Health Clinician (School Based Initiatives) provides direct clinical and therapeutic services and interventions to children, youth, and families in our partner schools.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists Partner Schools in the design and implementation of a school based mental health education and service delivery model.
• Conducts and interprets functional behavioral assessments.
• Conducts psycho-educational and treatment groups on topics identified jointly with school personnel.
• Provides individual, group, and family treatment for children with mental health and co-occurring disorders (developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse) within the outpatient, home based and/or prevention levels of care.
• Provides and facilitates referrals to higher levels of care or more intensive interventions if necessary.
• Collects, organizes and reports all necessary output and outcome data.
• Develops and implements Individual Plans of Service (IPOS) utilizing Person Centered Planning.
• Maintains clinical charts including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and all other MDHHS chart requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Master’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of professional clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting including one (1) year of full-time paid experience working with children and families in a behavioral health or mental health setting.

REQUIRED LICENSE(S).

A Valid State of Michigan clinical licensure: LMSW, LPC, LLP or PhD.
(A Limited License will be accepted)

A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
