About the facility

A large correctional facility needs coverage due to a new program opening up within the facility. Credentialing will take approximately 2-3 weeks, and an active GA license is required.

About the clinician's workday

The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30 patients with mental illnesses, focusing on restoring their competency to stand trial. Responsibilities include admitting patients, monitoring their clinical progress, and providing Bio-Psycho-Social treatment. The position requires participation in treatment team meetings, writing treatment plans and clinical reports, and engaging in quality assurance activities. Collaboration occurs within a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, mental health clinicians, nurses, and security staff, along with liaising with courts and law enforcement agencies.
