• 40 Hours a week; Monday – Friday; 8am - 5pm
· Average daily caseload of 8-12.
· Regular admissions and discharges.
· Standardized risk assessments, evaluations, and the
running of weekly medication education group sessions.
Location specific:
· This Psychiatric Center - has the city’s first Transition to Home Unit (THU) which is a 25-bed inpatient unit.
· Referrals come directly from selected New York City Health and Hospital CPEPs.
· The unit cares for individuals experiencing homelessness and provides intensive, recovery-oriented programming focused on developing skills for successful community living.
· Comprehensive discharge planning services ensure housing and wrap-around services are in place at the time of discharge.
· The mission of the THU program is to restore dignity and mental wellness to the New Yorkers whom it serves by offering ethical care and individualized supportive services in a recovery-oriented environment.
REQUIRED:
• NY state license; active, unrestricted (preferred).
• Graduate - Psychiatry Resident
• DEA
• Malpractice – clean (preferred)
• Available (at time of name clear)
• Board Eligible (within 2-5 years post-training); Board Certified – Psychiatry.
- NYS Medicaid/Medicare enrollment
COMPENSATION:
• Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs, etc.)
• Malpractice insurance provided.
• Travel is included: air, rental car, or mileage if driving. The facility also has call rooms available.
