# Adult Psychiatrist – Inpatient Behavioral Health

A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled **Adult Psychiatrist** to join its inpatient behavioral health team. ## 🏥 PRACTICE ENVIRONMENT

The psychiatrist will provide care on a **30-bed adult mental health unit shared between two psychiatrists**.

The program provides specialized services across:

* Mental Health
* MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted)
* Geriatric Psychiatry

The physician will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes:

* Psychiatrists
* Nurse Practitioners
* Counselors
* Therapists
* Case Managers
* Hospitalists
* Other medical specialists
* Community-based providers

## 🩺 RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment
* Manage adult psychiatric patients across specialized behavioral health units
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Address patients' psychiatric, medical, and social needs
* Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and community providers
* Participate in multidisciplinary care planning
* Provide patient-centered and compassionate psychiatric care
* Participate in the weekend call rotation
* Support continuity of care and appropriate discharge planning

## 📅 CALL SCHEDULE

* **Weekend call:** 1:6 rotation

* **Base Salary:** $318,449–$354,957 annually

## ✅ QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

* **Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry – Required**
* Candidates with lapsed board certification will not be accepted
* New York State medical license or eligibility – Required
* DEA registration required prior to start
* Clean malpractice history highly preferred
* Current NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days – Required at presentation
* Must meet all applicable credentialing requirements
* Visa sponsorship is not available
* Locum tenens candidates are not being considered
